"Training helped me understand my dog!"
I was in disbelief when I saw my dog Rico on our first go home lesson. Dewayne helped Rico not pull on a leash anymore, he has made our time outside so much more enjoyable when we go on walks. They also helped me understand how to communicate better with Rico. In the end I realized that they were not only training Rico, but the program was also training myself. Dewayne helped me understand that Rico wanted to make me happy and do the right thing, we just had to find the right way to let him know what we were asking for. I cannot say enough good things about Blue Chip K9 and what they did with Rico, it was a complete transformation!

After getting our new pup we knew we wanted a well trained family member and called Dewayne to learn more about his training programs. Since Boone was only 3 months old we got started with his puppy program. It was a four week program to set the foundation for the parents as well as the puppy. All the basics like socializing and consistent communication sets the stage for your dog's future. The puppy program gives you all steps to follow as well as a better understanding of how your puppy learns. Armed with that knowledge and consistency of some homework you will be very happy with the results. Chessies are an intelligent and strong willed breed and Dewayne with Blue Chip K9 has put our pup on the right path just for him. We have moved on to Private lessons and now have a 6 month old pup that is on his way to a well behaved and obedient family member. "A natural with Dogs..."
I can’t say enough good things about Blue Chip K9. Dewayne was so patient with my dog Lady Bird. He put us completely at ease and was able to break down the training into very simple ways for us to understand, not to mention he was just so animated and made everything seem so easy. He has great technique and is a natural with dogs. With three kids, he was able to help us build, structure and set boundaries which helped her– and met our needs as a family of 5. Lady Bird learned so much and came back to us a completely different dog. She is so chill now and is able to play with my kids now without a problem. THANK YOU for making my Lady Bird into the perfect dog!

Blue Chip K9 is absolutely fantastic! Our dog Dillon was a huge disruption to our family when we brought her home. We found them online and reached out for help. We chose to go through private training with Blue Chip K9 and they taught us how to train ourselves. The staff was very open and honest about steps and how to achieve them. We loved the private training so much that we enrolled Dillon in a month long board and train off leash training. Our dog now is so well trained it’s unbelievable. We get comments about her behavior all the time when we are out. My family and I cannot recommend Blue Chip K9 enough!

We absolutely consider ourselves family with the ownership of Blue Chip K9. Our relationship has expanded far beyond the initial training of Prince. From our first interview, we knew he was the trainer for our new family member. Our consultation was very thorough in explaining our dogs actions and what his training expertise would do to correct his deficiencies. What we received was a "new" and obedient family member. The personal touch that Dewayne and staff provides is excellent follow-on training that includes home training at our home. Further, we stay in contact with Dewayne and Blue Chip K9 through their boarding service. We are extremely thankful for it because we wouldn't dream of leaving Prince with anyone else. You cannot go wrong with Blue Chip K9!!!
"Dwayne is very patient"
We were having trouble with our four year old boxer when people would come to the door. She would bark like crazy and just be obnoxious. We were at our wit’s end. I saw an ad for Blue Chip K9 on the internet and called for an evaluation. We took her for her evaluation and met Dwayne. His easy going manner and knowledge won us over from the start. I started taking lessons and working with Belle under his direction. The change in Belle already is remarkable. She has calmed down so much with the lessons and we have been able to apply them to everyday living. For example she is learning to go to her bed or place and we can teach her that when she hears the doorbell or someone knocking to go to her place and stay. No more going crazy at the door. She is also learning basic manners and heeling when walking. Dwayne is very patient with both Belle and I. He is very encouraging and explains the why behind the lessons which makes it easy for me to understand. It has been such a wonderful experience working with Dwayne and Blue Chip K9. I am so, so glad we found them.
